Things at the Oasis Camel Dairy change all the time. New camels come in for training, rehabilitation and to join our herd. Camels go out to new homes around the country. ANIMAL PLANET FILMS UNTAMED & UNCUT TV SHOW AT THE DAIRY
Monday, July 19, Animal Planet film crew tapes interview segments for an upcoming episode of UNTAMED & UNCUT. The segment centers around video featuring American soldiers rescue of a baby camel in Iraq. To make the day more authentic; mother nature conjoured up a nice 100 degree day!

BABY WATCH:
No news is not necessarily good news!
Jamila is SO PREGNANT! That baby has got to be ready to come out ANY DAY NOW! The surest sign that they are close to delivery is in the loosening of the ligaments on either side of the tail. The ligaments are loosening but she just doesn't seem ready to have that baby yet! We check her every day. She is so gigantic... it is hard to believe the calf isn't over-due! But as soon as she goes into labor, we'll start posting!
Tula and her calf, Storm, are doing great. Storm was born in September and has become a favorite on our tours. He loves to come up and say hello. Tula has also become a great milker! All our camel milk soap right now is from her! She is a big, tough girl that is becoming more of a sweetheart every day. I think she really loves her new life here at the Dairy.
